Day 1: LIMA
Reception
at Jorge Chavez Airport and transport to selected hotel. Lodging. free
day for personal activities.
Day 2: LIMA - City Tour (B)
It
will take you 03 hours to travel to the XVI century. You will visit the
enchantments of colonial Lima: the Main Square located up to now in the
same area assigned by Francisco Pizarro, founder of Lima in 1535; the
Cathedral, the Government Palace, we recommended you to attend the
change of guard (daily at 11:45), the San Francisco Monastery, with its
beautiful cloister and entrance, as well as the underground galleries or
catacombs which were used as cemeteries during the Colony Period,
traditional districts with their own enchantments like the Stone Bridge,
the Alameda de los Delcalzos, the Paseo de Aguas and the famous Acho
Bullring. We will appreciate then the Huaca Huallamarca, which was
considerate as a Pre-Inca worship and ceremonial center. Then you will
travel back to the XX century visiting modern districts with beautiful
squares, as well as Miraflores with its beautiful beaches, intensive
commercial trading and active nightlife. You will visit the Park of Love
where stands a big sculpture representing a "Couple of Andean lovers"
facing the Pacific Ocean.
Day 3: LIMA / CUSCO - City Tour + 4 ruins (B)
At
required time transfer from hotel to airport to board the flight to
Cusco. At your arrival, reception at Velasco Astete airport and transfer
to selected hotel. Lodging. Free morning to get acclimatized to the 3
360 m.a.s.l. In the afternoon, city tour in Cusco walking through the
Cathedral which its exterior and interior frontage show a renacentist
style. Inside, you will find beautiful cedar wood statues, like the
chorus and the Pulpit, as well as the paintings of the Cusco Art School,
and some objects made of silver. You will also visit the Qorikancha or
Sun Temple; nowadays is the Santo Domingo Church. Then you will visit
the four surrounding ruins: The Sacsayhuamán Fortress, Q´enqo, Puca-Pucara
and Tambomachay.
Day 4: CUSCO - Machu Picchu (B)(L)
Full
day excursion to Machu Picchu archeological complex, located in a
subtropical Cusco area at 2350 m.a.s.l. Transfer from your hotel to the
train station to start your guided visit. You will see the marvelous
Machu Picchu Citadel where you will walk trough squares, temples,
terraces, worship centers and its Royal Palace. You will also visit the
"Intiwatana" or Solar Clock and several beautiful natural water
fountains carved on rock. Includes lunch. In the afternoon, return to
Cusco by train followed by a reception and transport to your hotel.
Day 5: CUSCO / PUNO (B)
At
fixed time, transfer from hotel to the bus station for your departure to
Puno City. At your arrival, reception and transfer to your selected
hotel. Lodging. Free night for personal activities. Overnight.
Day 6: PUNO / LA PAZ (B)
At
06:30 approximately (Peruvian time), transport in bus from your hotel to
La Paz accompanied by a skilled guide during all the tour. You will
visit typical towns like Juli, Pomata, Yunguyo, Casani and Copacabana,
crosing the border in Bolivia, visiting the Cathedral and the Main
Square. You will board the Catamaran Cruise ship. Lunch included. You
will sail through Titikaka´s Lake to visit the famous Sun Island, the
Garden and the Inca time terraces. We will cross through the Tikina´s
strait to arrive at Chua harbor where we will take the bus to go to the
selected hotel in La Paz. You will arrive at 18:30 (Bolivian time).

Day 7: LA PAZ - City Tour - Moon Valey (B)
In
the morning, visit to La Paz city at 3 800 m.a.s.l. You will visit its
typical craft market, the San Francisco colonial church, witchcraft
market, Murillo Square where we will find the Government Palace, the
Cathedral and the National Congress located on Jaen Street with 04
interesting museums followed by the Tiwanaku culture open air museum.
Then we will visit the residential zones of Obrajes, Colocoto and La
Florida. Finally, you will visit the "Valle de la Luna" (Moon Valley).
Free afternoon. At night, we suggest you to enjoy the folkloric show to
appreciate the local typical dances and colorful costumes.
Day 8: LA PAZ - Tiwanaku (B)
In
the morning, we will visit the Tiwanaku Ruins, the capital of a
civilization that appeared around the year 700 B.C. located at 72 kms.
from La Paz city. During its apogee the capital of Tiwanaku was the
biggest of the world considered as the Origin of the American
Civilization. These Pre-Inca ruins were the beginning of endless
archeological debates about its antiquity. According to the last radio
carbon test it has 1580 years B.C. of antiquity.
Day 9: LA PAZ (B)
At
fixed time, transport from hotel to the airport to board your
international or domestic flight. End of Service. |
